Congratulations to Aimee Galaszewski for being named the Girls Soccer March Player of the Month. Aimee leads by example both in and out of practice. She has been a great mentor to our younger players.


Congratulations to Jordan Chrisbaum for being named the March Athlete of the Month for Girls Track. Jordan was the winner of the 55m high hurdles at the WAC meet. She also placed 4th at the Woodland Conference Indoor in the 55m high hurdles.


Congratulations to Jada Kondrakiewicz for being named the March Athlete of the Month for Softball. Jada is hitting 510. She has 5 runs scored and 6 RBI’s. Jada had the game winner in a walk-off win vs. WA Central.


Congratulations to Alex Herriges for being named the Athlete of the Month for the Boys Track Team. Alex placed second in the pole vault at the West Allis Meet with a personal best of 11’6”.


Congratulations to Luc Leszczynski for placing 3rd at USA Poweringlifting High School Nationals. Luc’s total weight was 1435 lbs.


Congratulations to Jasmine Kondrakiewicz for being named the February Player of the Month for Girls Basketball. Jasmine led the team in scoring and rebounding in February. She had a career high 30 points vs Milw Lutheran


Congratulations to Gino D’Alessio for being named the February Player of the Month for Boys Basketball. Gino is our leader in February that has led to our turn-around season. He has averaged 12.5 pts, 5 rebs, and 5 assists


Congratulations to Nate Kane for being named the February Player of the Month for Wrestling. Nate is the captain/leader of the team. He earned a Regional Championship and a State Tournament birth. Nate is the 6th WIAA state qualifier in school history.


Congratulations to Jasmine Kondrakiewicz for being named the January Player of the Month for Girls Basketball. Jasmine was the leading scorer and rebounder for the month of January. She had three double doubles.

Congratulations to Bilal Shabazz for being named the January Player of the Month for Boys Basketball.  Bilal is averaging 17 pets, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocks during the month.

Congratulations to Jack Lustig for being named the January Swimmer of the Month. Jack was a finalist in the 500 Free at the Marquette Invite. Good luck at Sectionals.


Congratulations to Tierel Hood for being named the January Player of the Month for the Wrestling Team. Tierel shows up and works hard everyday. He is eager to learn and always wants to get better.


Congratulations Poms. The girls competed at their regional competition this past Saturday in Watertown and have qualified in both of their routines! They placed 2nd in the Division 2 High Kick category and 6th place in the Division 3 Pom category.

Winter Community Service Projects 2017-18

Boys Basketball

The Boys Basketball Team participated in an after school meal program.  All varsity team members made and donated food items for the program. 

Girls Basketball

The Girls Basketball Team hosted the TLS Christmas Party on December 20th in the student union at Pius XI.

Wrestling

The Wrestling Program helped St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Milwaukee with preparing 192 bag lunches.  The bag lunches were distributed to the guests of The Gathering of Southeast Wisconsin the next day.


Congratulations to JT Lee for being named the December Player of the Month for the Wresttling team. JT is a first year wrestler and he won the Milwaukee Lutheran Invite with four first period pins.


Congratulations to Alexis Richardson for being named the December Player of the Month for Girls Basketball. Alexis was Pius XI leading scorer for the month and she played lock down defense.

Girls Tennis

The Lady Pope Tennis Team will be volunteering at the open-door cafe at the Cathedral of St. John Evangelist on Sunday, October 1st. 

Boys Soccer

Boys Soccer worked a four week camp for unprivileged kids in the Waukesha area.

Football

The football team raked leaves for home owners around Pius XI.

Girls Cross Country

The girls’ cross country team will be planting blubs all along the new fence in the main parking lot.

Girls Volleyball

On Sunday, October 1, our team brought, prepared, and served a Sunday brunch to residents staying at the Ronald McDonald House. Each of my players donated $5.   I used this money to purchase eggs, ham, rolls, hash browns and cookies. Each player also brought an additional food or drink.   We cooked, cleaned, washed dishes, and swept the floor.

Boys Cross Country

The boys’ cross-country team runs the water stations for the indoor half-marathon and marathon at the Pettit Center the second weekend in February. The proceeds benefit the Pettit and its programs.

Boys Volleyball

The boys’ volleyball team did go help a former Pius teacher who is very sick.  We  get their home and yard ready for the winter.    The guys were happy to step up last Friday and help him.  We hope the simple act of support from the community will lighten his load and allows him to recover to full strength.


Congratulations to Preston Maccoux for being named the November and December Player of the Month for Boys Basketball. Preston is one of the team captains and the leading scorer for the first two months of the season.


Congratulations to Carmen Reynoso-Perez for being named the November Player of the Month for wrestling. Carmen was the first female wrestler to win her weight class at St John’s Military Invite in 22 years.


Congratulations to Jordyn Zander for being named the November Player of the Month for Girls Basketball. Jordyn was named the MVP for the Hank Raymond’s Basketball Classic. She was also the Player of the game against Janesville Parker.


Congratulations to Jada Kondrakiewicz for being named the October Player of the Month for Girls Volleyball.. Jada was invested in the success of our team. She was never afraid to show her emotional investment.Jada had great leadership and insight.


Congratulations to Daniel Mahrt as the October Player of the Month for Boys Cross Country. Daniel has been the most consistent Varsity runner. He has led by example in both his work ethic and his race performance.


Congratulations to Jordan Chrisbaum for being named the Player of the Month for October. Jordan ran the month of October while dealing with a number of injuries. She never quit. Jordan showed grace and grit.


Congratulations to TJ Driver for being named the October Player of the Month for Boys Volleyball. TJ set the best example of leadership, drive and selflessness that any coach could ever hope for. He led the team in kills, blocks, and hitting %.


Congratulations to KJ McNealey for being named the October Player of the Month for Boys Soccer. KJ lead the team in October with 5 goals and two assists. He was a work horse for the program as a forward.


Congratulations to Luc Leszczynski for being named the October Player of the Month for Football. Luc was a team captain, a four year letter winner, and he played on the line for both defense and offense. Luc is very active at Pius XI in many organizatio


Congratulations to Chris Quinto for being named the September Player of the Month for Boys Soccer. Chris has been one of the most reliable players on our team. He never quits or gives up. Chris is truly an asset to our team.


Congratulations to Pilar Sharp for being named the September Player of the Month for the Girls Golf Team. Pilar was a great recruiter for the program. Her leadership was instrumental in a successful and fun season.


Congratulations to Gino D’Alessio and Preston Maccoux for being named the September Players of the Month for Boys Volleyball. Gino and Preston have led our team vocally, emotionally, and most importantly they lead by example.


Congratulations to Samiyah Braylock and Jada Spence for being named the September Player of the Month for Girls Tennis. This team posted a 7-2 record for the Month. They also won the flight two consolation championship at the Woodland Conference Tournam


Congratulations to Cali Horder for being named as the September Player of the Month for the Pom Team. Cali is a 3 year varsity member and is a captain this year. She is respectful and organized leader who works hard and is extremely dedicated.


Congratulations to Johnathan McCauley for being named the September Player of the Month for Boys Cross Country. Johnathan has been performing consistently. He has a great work ethic and Johnathan has been pushing himself everyday in practice.


Congratulations to Ashley Donovan for being named the September Player of the Month for Girls Volleyball. Ashley has been a “Big Sister” to our younger players. She is one of the most caring, compassionate athletes that I have ever coached.


Congratulations to Jamontte Brown for being named the September Player of the Month for football. Jamontte has great leadership on and off the field. He has an outstanding positive attitude and work ethic.


Congratulations to Claire Mueller for being name the September Player of the Month for Girls Cross Country. Claire has been a front runner for the JV team. She is hardworking, and positive.


Congratulations to Maia Raul for being named the August Player of the Month for Girls Cross Country. Maia was the front runner for the scrimmage on August 21st. Congratulations, Maia.


Congratulations to Madisen Donovan for being named the August Player of the Month for the Girls Tennis Program. Madisen has six wins on the season so far. She has shown impeccable focus and determination to succeed.


Congratulations to Jonathan Hudson for being named the August Player of the Month for Boys Cross Country. Jonathon is a team captain. He has set an example of hard work and dedication in practices and meets.


Congratulations to Malia Saygo for being named the August Player of the Month for the Girls Volleyball team. Malia continues to improve each day and she is extremely coachable.


Congratulations to Josh Stone for being named the August Player of the Month for the football team. Josh is a quiet leader, very dedicated, and a unselfish player. Josh is a two way player.


Congratulations to Ivan Cuellar for being named the August Player of the Month for the Boys Soccer Team. Ivan has scored 8 goals and 4 assists in the lastt 4 games. He also got the winning goal against NB West.


Congratulations to Branden Heller for being named the August Player of the Month for the Boys Volleyball Program. Branden sets the tone in practice with how hard he competes every single day. He has a fearless attitude on the court and it is contagious.


This past week the Varsity Poms attended Badgerette Camp at Carroll University. Here are the results. 1st place Overall Small Varsity 1st place Small Varsity Open Routine 1st place

Turn left onto Swan Boulevard (first stoplight). Turn left to travel through the roundabout. Take the first right in the roundabout to enter the complex driveway.

From the North: Take I-41 south to Exit 40B toward Watertown Plank Road west. Stay to the right when the ramp splits. Continue right onto westbound Watertown Plank Road. Turn right onto Swan Boulevard (first stoplight). Turn left to travel through the roundabout. Take the first right in the roundabout to enter the complex driveway.

From the South or East: Take I-894 north or I-94 west to I-41 north. Take Exit 40B toward Watertown Plank Road west. Stay to the left when the ramp splits. Continue onto westbound Watertown Plank Road. Turn right onto Swan Boulevard (first stoplight). Turn left to travel through the roundabout. Take the first right in the roundabout to enter the complex driveway.

From the West: Take I-94 east to Exit 304B - Hwy. 100. Turn left onto Hwy. 100. Turn right onto Watertown Plank Road. Turn left onto Swan Boulevard (first stoplight). Turn left to travel through the roundabout. Take the first right in the roundabout to enter the complex driveway. Allow extra time as this route is also a major detour for the Zoo Interchange road construction project.
